Maarten Corpel

Digital Product Designer

Amsterdam, NL

For the past 10+ years I’ve been

helping product teams build

apps, websites and dashboards.

Here’s some of the stuff I’ve

worked on:

I help product teams to define what digital products should do, how they work and what they look like.

My focus is to find and communicate the story we’re trying to tell with the screens we create. The story is what creates value, turning complex information into clear and useful interfaces.

Most recently I’ve been designing dashboards at Schiphol Airport.

I care about the things we create, I care about designing products that are built to last.

Being part of a motivated team is where the magic really happens. Good design is created by people, for people.

I love doing the things

I love to do

I genuinely love doing what I do. The fact that you can just think of something and then make it, it’s like magic. What a time to be alive.

Everything can always be better

The thing we’re making will never be perfect, and that’s okay. It’s up to us to see the potential en work towards it.

Thinking in systems

I make sure everything is set up with patterns and components that can be repurposed into other features.

I don’t know, let’s figure it out

The creative process is what drives me. We don’t always need to have all the answers, we’ll figure it out along the way.

From turning problems into journeys, to deciding strategies and crafting interface components. I love being part of the whole process.
